Bronx Judge Resigns Amid Probe Alleging Interference With Attorney-Client Privilege
Bronx Judge Jeffrey M. Zimmerman is resigning from the bench, effective on April 3, ending a watchdog’s probe that he had engaged in a pattern of discourteous behavior and other alleged misconduct. Zimmerman had written decisions that admonished New York’s bail reform laws, and prosecutors who didn’t adhere to deadlines. He has been serving in the New York City Criminal Court and as an acting state Supreme Court justice in the Bronx.
