“The foreperson and several other jurors told us that they had been ten seconds away from submitting the verdict that they had already agreed upon,” said Jeb Butler of Butler Khan. “The verdict was for the [plaintiff’s] family in the amount of $23 million, with 75% of the fault placed on [the defendant] and 25% on [the plaintiff].”
